Today we went to the Singapore Air Show! It was okay, although getting there by public transport was a thoroughly inhuman experiment that included transporting thousands of people to the most remote part of this small island, squeezing us through a narrow bottleneck, and then letting us wander around a massive air base where there was more than enough room for everybody (same thing coming home). The whole experience, door to door, was two hours to get there, and two hours to get back. We probably spend three hours at the place itself. Zen’s buddy from our apartment block came along, and so did his dad, which was very cool.
Here are some pictures of our exciting excursion!

One of the great things about this day out was that it was Zen’s first opportunity to try out his new point-and-shoot camera. We were very surprised at the results – Zen’s photos are fantastic! I think he’s got a real flair for photography. His photos are way better than mine, actually!! Even the photos that seem a bit peculiar – off-center, strange angle – have a lot of character.
