Supertzar rocks!

Saturday, February 25th, 2012

My band Supertzar played again tonight, we had an awesome time! We played six Black Sabbath/Ozzy songs (“Crazy Train”, “Iron Man”, “Lord Of This World”, “War Pigs”, ” Never Say Die” and “Paranoid”) and two originals (“To Hell We Go” and “Queen Of The Night”). Naoko and Zen came, along with some other friends, and we had a huge, rockin’ time! Bravo, guys!!

Celebratin’

Saturday, February 25th, 2012

Yay, I got my first paycheck from my new job, so Naoko and Zen and I went out to celebrate at Chili’s, which will probably stick in our minds forever as the place with the best service we’ve ever experienced in Singapore! What a place!! We had great ribs, and I had a not-so-good burger, and great chips with dipping sauce!!! And beer!!!!

Here are the pics!!!!!

We know where Zen's interests lay... and it's not in the appetizer!

Singapore! Air!! Show!!!

Sunday, February 19th, 2012

Today we went to the Singapore Air Show! It was okay, although getting there by public transport was a thoroughly inhuman experiment that included transporting thousands of people to the most remote part of this small island, squeezing us through a narrow bottleneck, and then letting us wander around a massive air base where there was more than enough room for everybody (same thing coming home). The whole experience, door to door, was two hours to get there, and two hours to get back. We probably spend three hours at the place itself. Zen’s buddy from our apartment block came along, and so did his dad, which was very cool.

Here are some pictures of our exciting excursion!

One of the great things about this day out was that it was Zen’s first opportunity to try out his new point-and-shoot camera. We were very surprised at the results – Zen’s photos are fantastic! I think he’s got a real flair for photography. His photos are way better than mine, actually!! Even the photos that seem a bit peculiar – off-center, strange angle – have a lot of character.
