I’ve been watching the slow dismantlement of the local incinerator for some months now. It’s quite fascinating, actually. Apparently, it’s not been in use for many years, since they now burn the garbage at a new site that has electric power generating capabilities, so that incinerating garbage doesn’t waste the energy it creates. Clever.
