Evan had his first day at kindy yesterday. He did really well. We’ve put him into the Yokohama Union Church school, which is a pre-school centre. It’s in a church in Yamate and is a bit of a bus trip for the kids, but it will be easier once we get a car.

Evan didn’t cry at all when Nicole left, which is comforting. He took a bit of time to settle into the place, but he speaks well of it, so hopefully all will go well again tomorrow.

He goes to the kindy 3 times a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) from 9am to 2pm. We pack a lunch for him and they all eat there together.

There are 3 other Japanese kids there, which is great – hopefully he’ll pick up some Japanese.
