Evan started a new school this week. He’s gone to the Yokohama International School Early Learning Centre (YIS ELC) which has a good reputation and lots of expats send their kids to. He was a bit reluctant at first, and even cried a bit on the first day when Nicole left him, but he’s settled in well now and is really enjoying himself. On the first day, he wouldn’t tell us what he did that day, but today we couldn’t get him to stop. It turns out there’s a train set inside and whenever he gets there, he goes straight to the train set. He’s really starting to get interested in trains. He’ll ask for the Thomas videos whenever he can get it, nagging us in the morning to watch a show.

His new teacher is Mrs. Ishida and is really good with kids. She’s retiring this year, so she’ll be missed when she leaves.
