Airplane and airport

Tuesday, October 28th, 2008

Evan did an awesome job putting together an airplane and airport out of boxes and paper. He came up with the ideas all by himself and we only helped him a bit with it (I made the “petrol truck”) for him – well actually only the wheels which keep coming off anyways). I particularly like the petrol hose to the airplane! He’s recently been very creative with his work and he really enjoys making things.

On the weekend we made halloween custumes for the kids. The kids loved it. They helped us make it.

Here are the results of our hard work:

Lauren’s so cute!

Then we went to Yamate-cho to go on a “stamp rally” where we collect stamps and then lollies at the open homes. The kids were excellent at walking and I think they enjoyed seeing everybody all dressed up. There were some good custumes, but it seemed most were store-bought hats with bat wings or something. Our kids looked awesome!

At the end of the stamp rally, we collected a prize of even more lollies:

We ended up doing face-painting at the end:

7th tooth

Evan lost his 7th tooth now, the lower left canine. The tooth fairy gave him 250 yen for it! Wow!

Evan was able to swim an entire lap of the pool (50m?) all by himself yesterday. It wasn’t graceful, particularly at the end, but he did it without my help and on his own initiative. For it, he got an icecream at the end!

Evan sat down the other day and drew out a picture of his room. It looks really good – very creative.

We think “Stars” should actually be “Stairs” and “chalph” must be “shelf”. :)
