Evan’s unit of inquiry now is the human body so he’s often talking about veins, bones etc. Nicole had a mammogram done recently (routine check) and Evan said he wanted to share the X-rays with his class. He told his teacher that he was going to bring in his Mummy’s boob x-ray.

Evan’s Japanese is really improving now – I think he’s having more lessons in school now. The other day he asked me ask him what is name is and he replied “ぼくの名前はエヴァンです” (my name is Evan). Evan started first grade last week. His teacher is an Australian and seems quite good. Evan’s usually had female teachers, and once he had a male teacher for a while and he seemed to relate better to him. So we’re hoping he will relate to his new teacher well.
