5th Birthday party

Sunday, March 25th, 2007

Even though Evan’s true birthday is tomorrow (a Monday) we had his birthday party today with his friends. At least in this way I can be there.

Evan had a great time and got tonnes of presents from everybody. He was certainly worn-out from a day full of running around, eating sweet food and shouting.

I’ve posted some photos of the party on http://hoflich.com/photos/main.php

Here is another photo of the birthday boy!

Living with you when I’m older

Sunday, March 25th, 2007

Evan said to me the other day:

“Sorry I won’t be living with you when I’m older.”

I guess he means that when he’s old enough to have his own place, he will. Funny.

Sweet

Sunday, March 25th, 2007

Evan really struck me as sweet the other day when out of the blue he said:

“Daddy, I really like it when you’re home.”

Granted we were at a playground on a Wednesday (a national holiday here) but still very sweet. Perhaps my long hours at work are starting to be apparent to the kids. Something I have to change in myself…

Hiccups

Thursday, March 1st, 2007

Evan got the hiccups tonight and he said (kinda backwards):

“Who am I thinking about?”

Mummy tried guessing some names and she correctly guessed Grandma and Julia. Then he says:

“My heart is thinking about them.”
