Biggest number

Wednesday, November 29th, 2006

We ask Evan what the biggest number is and he’ll say:

“Sixty-Eighty-Hundred”

Handsome

Wednesday, November 29th, 2006

Mummy was reading a story about a boy who was handsome and Mummy said:

“Evan, you’re always handsome.”

“No, I’m only handsome when I put gunk in my hair.” (ie Daddy’s hair cream)

Downloading

Wednesday, November 22nd, 2006

Evan likes to play with his toy computer these days and yesterday he was typing away on the keyboard and he said:

“This is going to take a long time to download…”

(I usually use the word “download” when I need to copy files from DVD etc.)

I spy

Wednesday, November 8th, 2006

Evan loves to play “I spy” these days. He particularly likes to do “tricky” ones, where he changes his mind on something else, despite having used the word earlier.

Power Rangers videos

Monday, November 6th, 2006

Evan’s recently gotten into watching power-rangers videos. I think he likes the jumping around, kicking, fighting and in general beating the bad guys. Unfortunately it also means more aggression when playing with things. It seems like most things these days can be turned into weapons…

Nun-chucks

Monday, November 6th, 2006

Much to Nicole’s chagrin, I let Evan buy the nun-chucks that he so desparately wanted from the 100 Yen shop. They’re like nerf-material and shouldn’t be able to hurt a fly, but Nicole really doesn’t like the premise. I drew the line at the sword though and I still won’t buy a gun for Evan, but I did get a flashy-laser thing which shoots sparks, which I thought was neat. Evan does have a lot of fun with the nunchucks, running around pretending to fight bad-guys and the like.

I would if I could

Friday, November 3rd, 2006

Okada-san was joking around with Evan staying over at his house to which Evan replied:

“I would if I could but I can’t…”
