Hold your horses

Monday, January 30th, 2006

Funny/strange conversation today.

“Ok, Evan, I’ll get your juice. Just hold your horses!”
“No, hold your dinkie.”
“No Evan, hold your horses. It means to wait a minute.”
“No, hold your dinkie. I have to go the washroom.”

Library visits

Although we have tonnes of books at home, the kids still love visiting the local library. They each can take out 1 book each and they love to chose the books.

Some of the more interesting Japanese translated childrens books here include:

* Contemplating your bellybutton
* Where does gas come from?
* Everybody poos

Smell this!

Thursday, January 26th, 2006

I phoned home to see what the family was doing today and I got Evan on the ‘phone. They were in the middle of cleaning the fridge and closet, because there was a funny smell. He told me that the smell was all gone and said:

“The smell’s all gone! Can you smell this?”

and he put the telephone up to the fridge for me to smell.

“Smell this! Smell this Daddy! Is it lovely?”
