Evan’s turned into a little fish! We bought him some good swimming goggles, since the cheapo ones we bought are always letting water in, and now he’s spending so much of his time under water! He loves looking around under water and can keep his head below water for quite some time! It’s amazing how he’s opened up with the goggles now on.

Evan: “So, how’s the girlfriend?”
Me: “I don’t have a girlfriend Evan, I have a wife.”
Evan: “I have a wife.”
Me: “Really, who’s your wife?”
Evan: “Lauren’s my wife.”

We were barbequing and Evan says to me:

E: “So, how’s the girlfriend?”
R: “I don’t have a girlfriend Evan.”
E: “Me neither.”

I still sometimes call Evan Monkey-boy (see my blog entry) and today, when I got home and called him that, he called me Monkey-daddy! Serves me right!

Evan got a sticker from Star Wars of Chewbacca and he said to Mummy:

“Where should we put the doggy sticker?”

Evan has become quite attached to Chuckles, a purple plush toy, which is really very soft. He’ll ask for Chuckles when he goes to bed, or when he watches Toy Story on the computer, or where-ever really.

Swimming with goggles

Wednesday, July 6th, 2005

Evan’s now wearing his goggles to swimming class, which is great, because he can put his whole head under water. The 2 other kids, who are both older, have real issues with getting their noses wet. I guess they don’t like water going into their nose.

My woman

Conversation with Evan yesterday:

“Who’s Eva, Evan? Is she your girlfriend?”
“No, she’s my woman.”
